Analyzer for determination of H2S and CO2 content in amines (MDEA, DEA)
Methyldiethanolamine and diethanolamine solutions or their mixtures with various additives are widely used for natural gas purification from sulfides.
The analyzer has been developed to control a regeneration process of ethanolamines. The instrument determines a content of H2S and CO2 in regenerated and in non-regenerated amines, that allows to improve desulfurization process.
The analyzer is based on chromatograph PGC 90.50 equipped with the vapor phase analysis device. The principle of operation is the following:
The amines solution is supplemented with certain volume of acid, thereafter required compounds are determined in a vapor phase by means of gas chromatography method.
Calibration runs automatically using a test mixture.
There is a sample conditioning system and a stand with reagent containers.
The sample conditioning system has an amine line of supply which consists of the filter, needle-valve, amine and acid sampling valve, switching valve for calibration mixture supply and head-space device with thermoregulation system .
Optionally the sample system can be equipped with a switching valve in order to provide a sample from several process lines.
